ABOUT OUR WORK
A COMMITMENT TO PASTORAL GOAT HUSBANDRY
RESOURCE
GOAT YOUR LAND is devoted to resourcing modern goat herders desiring to implement regenerative herd management through the process of pastoralism and symbiotic husbandry.
Our message is directed to the community of goat keepers, with the sole purpose of addressing a crucial need. The need to resource goat herders who are genuinely determined to reduce the negative effects on their goats derived from full time confinement.
RESEARCH
The last six years we’ve spent living, traveling with, studying and herding our goats.
We have immersed in developing herd life and husbandry methods dedicated to regenerative principles. Further supported by historical examples, and research, our goats are a functioning herd grown out of the pastoral system.
Our endeavor is to help modern goat herders transition to raising goats in nature and with nature. Find our articles in Goat Journal Magazine.
RESTORE
We are dedicted to helping others discover and experience pastoralism or goat walking. A practical modality providing
- show goats
- pack goats
- production goats
- pet goats
the beneficial stimulation they need and thrive in, resulting in vigorous herds.

MY STORY MIRRORS THAT OF MANY OTHERS
I had a rough start in goat herding. Much of what I implemented did more harm than benefit. My herd wasn’t thriving, and I was ready to “throw-in the towel”. Out of my struggles and trials, I discovered pastoralism. Goat Your Land was born from the writing and research into this realization. Enabling me to help others restore to their herd the elements of pastoralism, the most ancient and beneficial form of goat husbandry.
In business, I work creating website and business branding designs and a photographer. When not designing, I spend my days herding the family dairy goats through woodlands and prairies of the Midwest where I live. I’m a kefir connoisseur. So now you know what I devote our goat’s milk to. I continue the research and restoration of pastoral goat husbandry, via blogging, and online coaching, through this website and the growing international herding community at the Goat Your Land Facebook group. My studies of ancient cultures and natural husbandry inspired the rediscovery and restoration of classical pastoral husbandry as our primary mode of herd management.
